To date, the Otto Group Executive Board has been responsible for operational management at OTTO. This is now set to change: in order to emphasise the autonomy and significance of OTTO's core business, as of 1 August 2012 three managers are to be nominated below Group Executive Board level to focus exclusively on the fortunes of the single company OTTO.
In addition to Dr Michael Heller, Marc Opelt and Petra Scharner-Wolff will be appointed as Members of the Management Board within the single company OTTO’s new leadership structure. Alexander Birken, as a Member of the Otto Group Executive Board, will advance further strategic development of the core companies OTTO, Baur and Schwab.
