The OTTO Academy offers a wide range of seminars and teaches new knowledge and skills in all relevant training topics. Individual continuing training is both required and encouraged. Employees and managers always jointly decide what training is appropriate for whom and when it is to be carried out.
New employees always complete an introductory programme that facilitates their start at the company by giving them a concise introduction to customer focus at OTTO and initial contact with their colleagues. "New employees get first-hand experience of what OTTO means by customer focus. During the introductory training they are shown around by experienced call centre staff - and come into contact with customers themselves at an early stage. They take the experience gained with them into their everyday work, where it has a formative influence," says Stefanie Hirte, Senior Manager HR Marketing at OTTO.
