OTTO realised early on that online shopping is especially attractive for mail-order customers. OTTO had an initial product range on the internet as early as 1995. Two years later, the entire catalogue range was published online.

Today, one-and-a-half decades and several browser, network, phone and tablet generations later, OTTO generates around 80 per cent of its revenues online. Selling via digital shopping channels has become a key growth engine.
